Boxing legend Muhammad Ali is widely regarded as the greatest boxer of all time. He wasn’t just a great boxer; he also had a talent for touching people’s hearts with his words and counsel. Floyd Mayweather, the undefeated pound-for-pound champion, has a different viewpoint on this. He had previously asserted that he is superior to Ali.

Floyd Mayweather and Muhammad Ali have been the subject of a long-running comparison. But despite Mayweather’s undefeated record, majority of people still think Ali is better. Check out what Laila, Ali’s daughter, has to say about it.

Laila Ali stated, “Look at the end of the day there’s nothing wrong with feeling that way about yourself as a fighter. But it doesn’t make it true.” 

She further added, “He(Floyd) really feels that way, he believes that, and that’s okay, you know. Hope you feel that way about yourself.” 

Laila is a boxer herself and she is regarded as one of the greatest female boxers of all time. She is an experienced athlete and is familiar with the game’s theatricals. She chose to present an impartial view and kept it open-ended.

Mayweather has been one of the finest boxers of this generation and he retired from the sport in 2017, with a perfect 50-0 record. His pay-per-view fights continue to rank among the highest-paying matches in the sport, which also made him the richest boxer in the world. The Hall of Famer has achieved everything that a boxer aspires.

‘Money’ said that he respected Ali and Robinson for what they had done for the sport. Ali is unquestionably regarded as being superior to Mayweather, yet there is little evidence to support this claim. The two competitors belong to separate eras and weight divisions. Making a determination as to which boxer is better is therefore absurd and exceedingly difficult.
