Latest Update on Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk Negotiations Makes Boxing World Go Berserk

One of the most awaited Heavyweight title fights is possibly in the making. Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are in talks to meet in the ring this year. Representatives from both sides have been in talks to set up a fight for a long time. ‘The Gypsy King’, the current WBC Heavyweight Boxing champion, will look at this fight as an opportunity to unify the heavyweight division. Fury won the WBC title in 2020 after defeating Deontay Wilder and has held it since.

Oleksandr Usyk has held the unified WBO, WBA, and IBF titles since 2021 and the ring titles since 2022. The Ukrainian Fighter has had his eyes on the WBC title for a long time, calling out Fury on various occasions.

Tyson Fury Vs. Oleksandr Usyk: Fight details revealed

‘The Gypsy King’ and ‘The Cat’ have been eager to fight each other for a long time. Mike Coppinger, an ESPN Boxing insider, posted a tweet revealing details about the potential fight between both.

He claimed that both sides are eyeing a fight in Saudi Arabia on April 29. Usyk has already signed the deal to fight in Saudi, but Fury is reportedly yet to sign a deal.

If Fury doesn’t sign the deal to fight in Saudi on time, the fight could be headed to Wembley.

“I’m a prizefighter. I go where the money is. If it’s in Saudi Arabia, if it’s in Hong Kong, or if it’s in Derek’s back garden. I go for the money. That’s what I do. I go in, get my brains beat out of me for a few quid.” said Fury in an interview with Talksport.
