In a recent episode of his show ‘The Fight’, Atlas gave his expert perspective on Ngannou’s quest to avoid being dominated. The crux of his advice lies in the mastery of fundamentals. The legendary trainer emphasizes the significance of Ngannou’s jab as a tool to neutralize Fury’s strengths. While Atlas acknowledges the immense gap in experience, he underscores the importance of leveraging strategies to level the playing field.

“If he learned some of the basic things, that he would have to learn, which starts with a jab. Really, because I don’t care. I’m not saying you can out-jab a guy who’s been boxing his whole life like Fury, and you’re an MMA fighter. You better learn how to use your jab and learn how to use it appropriately at the right time, at the right distance, where you can at least, if not take away Tyson Fury’s jab, at least make him honest. At least not let him dominate you with the jab.” he said

However. there is another crucial aspect that the coach feels is necessary for ‘The Predator’ to stand a chance. ” I don’t care if he punches like freaking Godzilla, it doesn’t matter unless he has a delivery system, enough fundamentals. We’re not fooling ourselves, he ain’t going to get to Fury’s level but enough fundamentals. Enough tricks, give him a couple of tricks in the bag, to land that big punch.” he said.
