Last weekend, while the entire fight world was busy with the Jake Paul vs Ben Askren fight, the WBO middleweight champ, Demetrius Andrade, defended his title once again successfully. He took on the sturdy Liam Williams in this prolific 12-round bout and ended up on the winning vertical.

Despite being on the losing side, Brit Liam Williams got a sublime welcome in his hometown in Clydach Vale. He took to his official Instagram handle and thanked the fans that came out for his support.

“Amazing home coming… didn’t get the result I wanted, but this eased the pain,” wrote Williams.

The champ Andrade entered in a tussle against ‘The Machine’ for his fourth title defense in a row. He crushed Liam Williams to the pulp and didn’t let him take control of the ring.

Right from the first bell, ‘Boo Boo’ made his intentions clear on winning this fight. That said, he kept swift in-ring movements at the top. Furthermore, he landed some mighty power shots on the Brit and exposed his game plan in the initial rounds itself.

Williams didn’t really have an answer to the heat coming off Andrade’s hands. Yet he fought like a brave heart, keeping the champ on his toes.

Moreover, his fans coming in a vast number to applaud his performance will only help him give his best shot for his fights in the near future.

Demetrius Andrade showcases gratitude towards Liam Williams and his team

After defending his throne, the southpaw Andrade took it to his official Twitter handle to express his gratitude to his contemporary.

He wrote, “Congrats @Liamwilliamsko & @dominicingle on a great fight and for showing how tough u are, Liam u will be world champ in the future! Nothing but respect!! Thanks to the fans who watched and support boxing. Looking forward to defending my @WorldBoxingO in the summer.“
