Canelo Alvarez, the p4p great, proved his class by winning the undisputed super-middleweight title fight a few days back. He locked horns with Caleb Plant and fared the way he was expected. That said, Alvarez became the first man in history to claim all the super-middleweight titles on the line.

Weeks after his win, the Mexican superstar also announced his move to the cruiserweight division to challenge Ilunga Makabu for his WBC cruiserweight title.

After his win and his announcement of the cruiserweight move, Canelo is in the news for obvious reasons. Recently, at a media interaction, Alvarez was asked about his limits and what he wishes to achieve.

He responded, “The thing is, limits don’t exist for me. For many people, they do exist, but not for me. Not even I know what my limit is, but we shall see what comes. Thank you for the kind words.”

Over the past 11 months, Canelo fought four times and claimed every world title at 168 lbs. He beat three unbeaten champions and one mandatory.

Out of all four fights, the one fight that proved to be a stern test for Alvarez was the Caleb Plant bout. ‘Sweethands’, in this epic clash, didn’t make it easy for Canelo. The former IBF champion made the p4p fighter dig in deep. However, Canelo established his supremacy and finished Plant in round 11 of the fight.

Until now, Canelo has won world championship straps at super-welterweight, middleweight, super-middleweight, and light heavyweight divisions.

However, Alvarez doesn’t wish to stop here as he has plans to capture the WBC cruiserweight title too.
