The recent soccer fever revolving around the FIFA World Cup 2022 has seen, pound-for-pound superstar, Canelo Alvarez, extending support to his home country, Mexico. However, his unhinged words after the Argentina vs Mexico match, especially his feud with football legend, Lionel Messi, had given rise to a lot of saucy soccer drama. And, it seems like Messi was not the only Argentinian footballer Alvarez turned his attention to. In fact, Sergio Aguero opened up about receiving a voice note from Alvarez.

Aguero, also known as Kun Aguero, is well known for his decade-long association with Manchester City, where he was the striker. Moreover, he had previously also played for Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, the recent soccer drama saw a rising Twitter beef between Alvarez and Messi. The Mexican boxer accused Messi of kicking the Mexican jersey during the post-victory celebration.

Aguero, on the other hand, tried to dissipate the situation, by citing Alvarez’s obliviousness, “The shirts are always on the floor after games due to sweat. And then if you see well, he makes the movement to remove the boot and accidentally hits it.”

However, it looks like Aguero’s statement evoked a response from Alvarez. It was said that he received an audio note from Alvarez. Talking about receiving the same, he said, “Do you know how much I sh*t myself? When I saw my WhatsApp and, I read ‘Canelo audio message’ I said ‘oh, sh*t.'”

In the note, Alvarez mentioned that he used to respect Aguero and also emphasized his displeasure.

Canelo Alvarez’s warning to Lionel Messi did not sit well with soccer fans. And the rising outrage pushed Alvarez to issue an apology to the soccer legend.

In a series of tweets, he mentioned that his statements were out of place. And that he was overcome by his love and passion for his country. Alvarez also went on to wish both Mexico and Argentina success in the World Cup.
