The clash between two fighting giants is just around the corner. And the boxing community can’t wait to bask in the glory of these two fighters battling it out in the ring. On one side, it’s the undefeated WBC Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. On the other hand, Francis Ngannou is the former UFC heavyweight champion. After leaving UFC, ‘The Predator’ signed a deal with PFL to face off against ‘The Gypsy King’ on October 28. But recently, an Instagram post from Fury promoting the bout gained significant attention from fans of boxing and MMA alike.

Counted in the upper echelon of fighters, Ngannou is a MMA legend. He has won several high-profile fights during his time there, including fights against Alistair Overeem and Stipe Miocic, to name a few. But never has he boxed before, let alone against an elite boxer like Tyson Fury. Nevertheless, he seems sure about taking down Fury in a match. Moreover, Fury just shared a poster on Instagram promoting the upcoming bout. And the reaction from the fans is mixed.

Assorted opinions on Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou

A somewhat similar  crossover fight took place back in August 2017. When Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather. Would this fight yield the same result? According to the fans, absolutely! But that’s not the only thing people are saying about the fight or Fury himself.

One user, who said, “ It’s insane, but not unexpected in today’s fight world circus, that this fight sells. This is literally a cake walk for Tyson Fury. A man that has literally trained in this discipline his entire life versus a man that’s had 1 boxing camp. Under boxing rules, no matter Ngannou’s size, he stands absolutely ZERO chance of winning. Surely even UFC fans can see that.”  The user compared the two fighters based on fighting experience and justified his opinion. While the statement from this user is true, one can not forget the sheer power behind Ngannou’s punches. So, in response to the above comment, the next user said the exact same thing. The user stated, “1 punch of ngannou can make a person sleep the whole day.”

Another user said, “Usyk is the only fight most of us want to see before you get beaten by a lucky punch from a nobody.” As per experience, Fury does have the upper hand, but calling Ngannou a nobody isn’t fair. Also, he is training under the ‘Baddest man on the planet’ Mike Tyson

“Usyk fight is for king of kings not a boxing debut,” said the next user. Playing with words from the caption of the post, this user makes it clear about which fight is worthy of a king.

A user commented, “Love you Tyson but the only fights people want are usyk and AJ. You win both so just get it done!” This user comes straight to the point and seems very optimistic about Fury defeating Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua

But another user leaves a taunting reply in contrast to the first, saying, “you win both was famously said by absolutely no one.”

But perhaps the most amusing comment on the post read, “when you see Michelle Phelps today keep your hands to yourself, your married.” Michelle Phelps is a host and an Onlyfans model.

With such diverse and strong opinions about the fight, it would be interesting to see what happens during the bout. Would Ngannou cause an upset by taking down Fury? Or does he stand zero chances against ‘The Gypsy King’? What’s your take?
