The social media platforms went wild as a heated exchange between the renowned actor Will Smith and the American comedian Chris Rock unfolded at the 94th Academy Award on 28th March.

Notably, while on stage, the comedian host made a joke about the hairstyle of Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, adding a reference from the movie “G.I Jane”. However, this did not sit well with Smith. took offense to a joke. Clearly displeased by the comments, the global icon left his seat, walked on stage, and punched Chris Rock on live television.

However, everyone witnessing this burst out laughing as initially, as it appeared to be a scripted act, but later, when Will Smith turned back to his seat and began shouting at the host. Silence took over the Dolby Theater.

Winner of the best actor award for ‘King Richard’, Will Smith shouted, “Shut your f**king mouth. Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth.”

Now, the Youtuber turned boxer, Logan Paul, took to Twitter to drop his shocking reaction to the intense exchange at the stage of the Academy Award Ceremony, which some still believe was fake.

He wrote, “Chris got rocked.”

However, he deleted it later.

Furthermore, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, also joined the social media personality and wrote, “Hmmmmmm.”

The rivalry between Will Smith and Chris Rock

This is not the first time when the renowned Hollywood industry actors came across each other. Prior to this, in 2016, when Chris Rock hosted the Oscar Awards Ceremony, his wife, Pinkett Smith, boycotted the Oscars as her husband was insulted for his performance in the movie ‘Concussion’.

However, then also Chris Rock had made fun of it. He said, “Isn’t she on a TV show? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties,” the host continued. “I wasn’t invited.”
