Logan Paul is now being compared with heavyweight icon and former champion, Larry Holmes. The 26-year-old’s current trainer, Milton Lacroix, has claimed that Paul could possess some better boxing features than ‘The Easton Assassin’. It was a shocking statement that may upset boxing fans all over. However, the trainer didn’t break a sweat while saying so.

Paul is gearing up for an exhibition showdown against Floyd Mayweather. Ahead of the bout, his trainer seems confident in him bagging an upset on June 6. He connected with Brian Campbell and said, “He (Logan Paul) might have a better jab than Larry Holmes,” said Lacroix.

Reflecting on Logan Paul’s upcoming fight and Floyd Mayweather, he added, “Floyd is older, slower, he is going to try to be a little slick.”

‘The Maverick’ will enjoy some valid advantages in the fight. His upcoming exhibition against Floyd Mayweather is nowhere close to a professional boxing bout. The eight-round headliner will be held in an open weight class where Paul has a weight limit of 190 lbs against Mayweather’s 160 lbs.

Logan Paul Feels Floyd Mayweather May Be ‘A Little over His Head’ – Says He Has Massive Height, Weight, and Reach Advantage

Moreover, he will also a massive reach and height advantage. That said, Paul and his team seem to have prepared a game plan to secure the biggest upset in boxing history. However, it’s still difficult to envision Mayweather losing against a YouTuber.

Does Logan Paul actually have a better jab than Larry Holmes?

Larry Holmes (69-6) is a former world champion and one of the all-time greats in the sport. Logan Paul’s mere one-fight pro-experience falls nowhere near the legendary heavyweight. Hence, it would be immensely bizarre to compare them under any parameter.

Meanwhile, trainer Lacroix’s confidence in Paul could be a genuine feature. ‘The Maverick’ dropped KSI with a thunderous uppercut in their in-ring collision. Although Floyd Mayweather would bring a totally different challenge than KSI, Paul will have his chances in the mix.
