Dane Cook reveals how to overcome failure

In a short snippet from the episode, Cook revealed that he could share some of the worst moments of his life in a funny manner and also had some advice for people who were at a low point in life.

“I’ll tell you about the worst moments of my life and I can share them even in a funny way or a serious way because what I tell people is if you’re at a rock bottom moment in your life, don’t be so f*ck*ng fast to get up and get out because there is so much data in failure, you want it.” He told Paul.

He also added that people should embrace failure more because there can be so much to learn from these shortcomings, “I’m telling you almost want things to f*ck up sometimes cause that data you get from that are the building blocks for the stuff later.” He said.

Cook certainly knows a thing a two about failure. The comedian has seen his own problems, being accused of plagiarism and getting shows canceled several times. However, he has bounced back from these failures and was one of the most successful comedians during the mid-2000s.

The Rise of Dane Cook

After almost a decade of struggling as a comedian in Boston during the 1990s, Cook finally made his breakthrough after hosting a special at Madison Square Garden and selling out the arena. Moreover, his tour was also made into an HBO special filmed at the TD Garden in Boston.
