IBF super-middleweight champion, Caleb Plant, recalled one of the most horrific and unfortunate incidents of his life as he reminisced his late mother on her death anniversary. However, ‘Sweet Hands’ appeared optimistic about his life and despite recounting a tragedy, he still sparked positivity in the end.

That said, the undefeated world champion has been through several hurdles in his life. He has lost a lot of closed ones in his mother and little daughter, citing them to be his energy drivers inside the ring. Caleb Plant took to Instagram and posted a few pictures with his mother Beth Plant, who passed away two years ago on this very day.

He wrote a long caption and also expressed his love for his late daughter, Aaliyah. While Plant continues to be a dominant champion, he also appears to be a noble son and a father.

Caleb Plant became the IBF champion earlier in the same year with a win against Jose Uzcategui. Subsequently, he successfully defended it thrice with his recent win coming against Caleb Truax. Prior to his fight against ‘Golden’ Truax, Plant revealed the secret of his championship mindset.

As he claimed of taking too many “Ls” (losses) outside the ring, Plant believed it to be the reason behind his undefeated boxing record. He looked back at his daughter’s demise and opened up on taking it as an inspiration.

As of now, Plant doesn’t have any opponent in sight and is medically suspended till July. Meanwhile, Billy Joe Saunders and Canelo Alvarez will face each other to unify the WBC, WBA, Ring, and WBO 168 lbs titles on May 8. So, Plant can return against the winner of the fight, in what would be an undisputed super middleweight title clash.
