The legendary boxer has been out of the fight game since his WBO welterweight title bout against Keith Thurman. Since then, Pacquiao has focused on his political career, with rumors even suggesting he could be in line to be the next president.

However, the multi-weight world champion has confirmed that he is still boxing. He took to his Twitter to post the video of his training. In the video, we see Pacquiao shadow-boxing and running to prepare for his next fight.

Recently, the WBO declared ‘Pac-Man’ as the champion in recess. This may have been the push that the 42-year-old needed to make his comeback. He appears to be determined to hold on to his world champion status.

However, Pacquiao still does not have a date or an opponent for his return. This showed his dedication to stay fit for his return whenever it may be.

Who is Manny Pacquiao training for?

The Filipino boxer has always prepared to the best of his ability for fights. However, in most cases, a fighter trains specifically for an opponent. Since Pacquiao has started training, there could be fresh developments regarding his opponent.

Pacquiao has previously stated his desire to fight a unification bout with Errol Spence Jr. while also welcoming a bout against UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Moreover, he spoke about the possibility of fighting Terence Crawford and demanded $40 million to make that fight happen.

Recently, lightweight sensation Ryan Garcia has announced that he will fight the legendary boxer. However, Pacquiao never confirmed this, and talks are still in the early stages. Therefore, he has a bunch of opponents to choose from.

Given that McGregor wants to stay in MMA, a boxing fight against Pacquiao is out of the question. A bout against either Terence Crawford or Errol Spence Jr. seems more likely at the moment.

What do you make of this news? Do you think Manny Pacquiao is training for Ryan Garcia instead?
