That said, he wishes to fight anyone with a championship in his upcoming appearance, including the likes of WBO titleholder Terence Crawford.

Although Pacquiao has a number of lucrative options, he still desired to lock horns against ‘Bud’ in a fight that has been touted for years. However, Manny Pacquiao has some financial demands that might play spoilsport to this dreamy matchup.

According to Boxing Scene, the Filipino Senator connected with Tribune Daily and offered his two cents on the whole scenario.

“I like to fight somebody who has a title. We told Bob (Arum) I get $40 million and Crawford gets $10 million. I will fight anybody. You know me, I don’t back away from any challenge. Bring ‘em on,” said Pacquiao.

While Manny Pacquiao demands a purse four-times bigger than Crawford, ‘Bud’ might not be interested. Being the undefeated world champion, Crawford also occupies several big fights under his name. So, he might duck the opportunity, especially after such vast differences on purse bids.

What’s in store for Manny Pacquiao?

The octuple world champion was rumored to return in a crossover fight against Conor McGregor this year. But following McGregor’s loss at UFC 257, the fight seems to have faded away from relevancy. But it’s still not over and can happen at any stage.

Apart from that, WBC Interim lightweight champion Ryan Garcia is also gunning for a fight against the Filipino Senator. ‘KingRy’ claims it to be official, but the fight is still missing a date and venue. Thus, it expands the options for Pacquiao.

But the most demanding fight for him would be against Crawford. It will determine the best welterweight of the era, and can also affect Pacquiao’s legacy. So, the high demand in finances can be valid from Pac-Man’s end.
