Legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao still has the fire in him to get in the ring. This is according to his manager, Sean Gibbons. The current WBA welterweight champion hit headlines in his home country again, after rumors circulated that he could become the next prime minister.
However, after the successful return of Errol Spence Jr, it seems that Manny Pacquiao would still like to get into the ring.

Despite being 41-years-old, the “Pac Man” has not slowed down. Furthermore, the Filipino has never shied away from fighting the best. Spence Jr made a big statement on his comeback to the sport after more than a year off. The unified champion defeating Danny Garcia via a unanimous decision. This was a victory that even impressed the Filipino star.

His manager Sean Gibbons spoke to Kevin Iole of Yahoo sports; and said that the WBA champion would be interested to fight the current unified champion. What’s more interesting is that he claims Pacquiao still has the fire in him to fight. This is welcome news for fans of the sport who would have thought politics could force Manny Pacquiao into retirement.

Can the Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr fight actually happen?
Ever since Errol Spence Jr beat Danny Garcia, the talk has only been on a potential fight with Terence Crawford. The two have their history of trash-talking each other, and it has been the only question people want to know. However, in his post-fight interview, Spence Jr did say he wants to become an undisputed champion in a year or two.

Therefore, in order to become the undisputed champion of the world, Spence Jr will have to capture all the welterweight belts. Manny Pacquiao holds the WBA belt at the moment. So a fight between the two is inevitable. Furthermore, it would also make a great spectacle for the fans.
