LeBron James continues to prove why he deserves his place among the Titans of the NBA’s very own Tartarus. There was one pursuit that he has been passionately pursuing, to beat Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. He recently did just that and rewrote history by breaking Abdul-Jabbar’s history. The world of sports erupted in amazement at his accomplishment. And boxing was not far too behind, with notable names like Manny Pacquiao and Terence Crawford taking to social media to congratulate him on the same.

The Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles was set for a sensational faceoff between the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder. Celebrities, on the other hand, seemed to have had a hint of history potentially being made. And a myriad of famous faces filled the courtside seats. In fact, Abdul-Jabbar himself was present to witness James break his record.

This very arena, which stood witness to multiple athletes becoming legends, saw James score his 38,388th point. A record that made him an undisputed demigod of the game.

James also paid tribute to Jabbar and thanked his fans for supporting him. As per The Guardian, James said, “I thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of something I’ve always dreamed about.” Jabbar, on the other hand, also welcomed James’ progress while also congratulating him.
