Manny Pacquiao, Yordenis Ugas, and Others Send Love to Errol Spence Jr for a Speedy Recovery

Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. could have unveiled a historic clash against each other. Unfortunately, following a retinal injury to his left eye, Spence Jr. has pulled out from the fight. This sudden derailment was quite frustrating to grasp. However, given the medical setback, it was the only option as he wouldn’t have been able to fight ‘Pac-Man’ at a 100%. Hence, WBC-IBF titlist Errol Spence Jr. will only return to the ring, after complete recovery.

Meanwhile, several of Spence Jr’s top-tier rivals and contemporaries have already sent their best wishes to him. Following the outbreak of Spence Jr’s injury reports, Manny Pacquiao, Yordenis Ugas, Vergil Ortiz Jr, and several other boxers took to social media and offered their support towards the undefeated champion.

August 21 will still see Manny Pacquiao compete for a welterweight world title. Yordenis Ugas will defend his WBA strap against the Filipino star in the main event, and the three-fight card can add one more bout to cement a four-fight PPV event.

WBA champion Yordenis Ugas will enter the biggest bout of his career against ‘Pac-Man’. His 26-4 pro record may not boost his chances of winning to a massive extent. Nevertheless, as a win against Pacquiao will take him to sheer heights of success, this added drive can fuel up the Cuban boxer.

Besides having a few advantages under the physical parameters, Ugas has also been more active than Pacquiao in recent times. While ‘Pac-Man’ will end a two-year-long layoff on the fight night, Ugas will end a hiatus of 11 months.
