In February 2020, Deontay Wilder entered the ring for a rematch with Tyson Fury. Here, the Brit completely brutalized the Alabama native to dethrone him and become the WBC heavyweight champ. Wilder, who was on the receiving end of a barrage of punches, wanted to continue fighting. But his trainer, Mark Breland, threw a towel inside the ring to stop the fight in round 7.

As a result, the duo even parted ways. Recently, Wilder once again faced Fury and lost. That said, out of nowhere, Floyd Mayweather jumped in to post a picture of Wilder’s ex-coach, Mark Breland.

With this, Mayweather took a dig at ‘The Bronze Bomber’. However, Wilder’s current trainer, Malik Scott, took it to his Instagram story to respond to ‘TBE’.

He wrote, “I wouldn’t say he was talking sh*t about me I would say he was taking his usual random shots at Deontay which indirectly is taking shots at me too since im Deontay’s head trainer so it’s whatever…”

“But what’s even more funny is mark breland has been a known legend for decades but all of a sudden Floyd post him with praise coincidentally a week after we lose to fury but then to make it even more funnier mark breland has never really liked Floyd anyway..”

Mayweather and Wilder have never really been on good terms and have repeatedly painted shots at each other.
