The first time around – fans weren’t so excited about Tyson Fury facing an MMA guy. However, after what Francis Ngannou did to ‘The Gypsy King’ during their crossover boxing match, tickets for the rematch will sell by the dozens. Since Ngannou nearly tarnished the Brit’s perfect record, fans and pundits have been relentless about a rematch. So, when Fury revealed his intentions to have a rematch, it left the boxing world in a frenzy.
The online boxing editor for talkSport, Michael Benson, recently turned to X (formerly Twitter), announcing Fury’s intentions for the rematch. “Tyson Fury has already said he wants to rematch Francis Ngannou, according to Frank Warren, who believes there is a “good chance” that happens in 2024,” wrote Benson. When the tweet started circulating on the platform, fans quickly found their way to the comment section, describing their thoughts on the matter.

Bob Arum believes Fury will fair better against Oleksandr Usyk
Before Fury gets to redeem himself against Ngannou, he has to make it past the Ukrainian heavyweight. Even after Fury’s lackluster performance against Ngannou, Bob Arum thinks Fury would do better against Usyk. While speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Arum suggested nobody had any idea about Ngannou’s skills.
However, when it comes to Usyk, Fury’s team has boatloads of films of Usyk fighting. So, Fury would prepare better and perform better against him. “Fighting Usyk is totally different because they have reams and reams of film on Usyk. I think Tyson will be a lot better prepared against Usyk than he was against Ngannou,” said Arum.
