Ultimately, after years of anticipation, when both combatants squared off, Mayweather was the victor. Pacquiao retired as a competitor back in 2021 but remains a prominent figure in the sport. In a recent tweet made by him, he asserted that offense and defense are not necessarily contrary to each other but complement one another. He stated, “Offense can be the most effective form of defense at times.”
