Mayweather Trained Claressa Shields Branded ‘Pillow Fists’ Following Recent Win

The self-proclaimed ‘GWOAT’, Claressa Shields, retained her Ring, IBF, WBA, and WBC middleweight titles on Saturday night. However, it seems that Floyd Mayweather’s guidance and Shields’ hard work have paid off.

Subsequently, post the fight, there was a heated verbal exchange between ‘GWOAT’ and the WBO middleweight champ, Savannah Rose Marshall, that grasped the media attention. Notably, the ‘Silent Assassin’ witnessed the whole action between Shields and Ema Kozin at the ringside.

However, in the post-fight interview, she dropped a bombshell on the champion of the night. She said, ” If you perform like that against me. I’ll absolutely wipe the floor with you… People were walking out. Pillow fists. That was embarrassing.”

However, ‘GWOAT’ retaliated and said, “I ain’t no punk. I’m not scared of you. That’s why I’m here… You didn’t come to America. I’m chasing you. We can go. Win [on] March 12 [and]. I’m going to wipe the floor with you.”

Claressa Shields outboxed the Slovenian challenger, Ema Kozin, in the 10 rounds of high-profile battle. The match was scheduled at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales on 5 February.

However, after the fight, ‘Silent Assassin’ made a bold remark and branded Claressa Shields with ‘Pillow fists’.

Notably, ‘Pillow fists’ is an embarrassing term for warriors in combat sports. It is defined as the punches shot to gain points and don’t have the power behind to hurt the opponent.

Probably, Savannah Marshall was not impressed with the performance of Shields. She made this remark as the ‘GWOAT’ could not get a knockout shot against Ema Kozin after crafting several punches with accuracy.

Despite this, Shields won the fight with a unanimous decision. However, ‘Silent Assassin’ is all set to take a shot against Femke Hermans on March 12. Moreover, the heated argument with Claressa Shields shows that they might face each other in the coming months this year.
