While most high-profile boxers keep their relationships known to their fans, heavyweight sensation Andy Ruiz Jr. prefers to keep some affairs away from the limelight. He’s married to his longtime girlfriend, Julie Ruiz, and the couple has five children. The duo doesn’t post frequently about each other, but Ruiz’s ladylove has been his support system since time immemorial.

The beautiful pair rarely appear at occasions or events. But Julie Ruiz marks herself present at all the ‘Destroyer’s fights. A year ago, when Ruiz shook the world by knocking out the mighty Anthony Joshua, Julie Ruiz was present in the arena to see her husband achieve this feat.

She spoke to Fight Hype on Ruiz’s most exhilarating career win.

I am just excited. I am so proud of him, he made history,” she said with a wide smile on her face.

Since the beginning, she has maintained a low-profile on social handles and doesn’t like to be in the limelight. Despite this, she plays a terrific supporting role in Ruiz’s life. Win or lose, Julie Ruiz has never left her man stand alone to face the world.

Both of them share an amazing bond with each other. The ‘Destroyer’ posted a picture on his Instagram a few months ago to convey the love for his wife and family.

The ‘Destroyer’ lost a significant amount of weight to make his heavyweight run fresh and intimidating. He hasn’t fought once in 2020 but looks to make the following year his best. Ruiz is pretty keen on squaring up his scores with Joshua.
