Several factors prevail over why people consider Canelo Alvarez as one of the finest boxers of all time. Despite being an active pugilist, Alvarez is already boasting a legendary status and can retire today, with an alluring professional resume of 57-1-2 and world titles in four distinct divisions. He is far from hanging the gloves and looks ready to stick around for several more years.

It has turned him into a cash-cow and arguably the biggest superstar in boxing today. That said, Alvarez’s charisma goes well beyond the limits of the squared circle. Mexican singer and actor Lucero Hogaza recently expressed her love towards the P4P king on social media.

She met the undisputed super middleweight champion in person and clicked a photograph. She also performed live with Alvarez. While boxing fans are well aware of Alvarez’s singing abilities, they could get a glimpse of it yet again in a recent event.

Posting the picture on Twitter, Lucero wrote, “With the great Canelo, my admiration always. Thank you for putting the name of Mexico for everything, dear friend.”

While Mexico has always produced eminent boxers, Alvarez may be the greatest of them all. Julio Cesar Chavez can challenge the claim but Alvarez has enough reasons that justify him to be Mexico’s biggest superstar in boxing today. From making the calls at his will to grabbing call-outs from variant divisions, Canelo Alvarez is at the sky height level of success.

He has clean swept the 168 lbs division, taking out three undefeated world champions and a mandatory challenger in less than a year. In 2022, we can see Alvarez move up to 175 lbs or 200 lbs. Besides, he is aiming to become a five-division titlist and can soon land up in the cruiserweight division (200 lbs). That said, he is on the brink of relishing in bigger spotlights.

A potential move to the cruiserweight division will put him before bigger opponents. From Dmitry Bivol to Artur Beterbiev, the 200 lbs unit is full of A-listers. Meanwhile, WBC has cleared Canelo Alvarez to challenge Ilunga Makabu for the championship. With an official face-off already on board, that fight is likely to happen.

But Alvarez has confirmed nothing from his end. He still holds all the titles at 168 lbs and that may demand him to keep himself in the division or vacant the belts.
