It’s the battle of the ages! Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul is an unprecedented but enticing fight that has taken over every conversation among fans and pundits alike. While some are concerned about the age gap between the fighters, others are preparing sigils for Paul’s destruction. However, where does the guy who portrayed Tyson in the 1995 film, Tyson, stand?

While appearing in an interview with Vlad TV not long ago, Michael Jai White fielded questions about his perspective on the upcoming fight. The Tyson vs. Paul fight is scheduled to go down on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as part of Netflix’s entry into boxing. And White thinks Paul doesn’t stand a chance! Why?

Answering the host, White made it clear that Tyson would easily take home the win because “I don’t see how Jake pulls this off. I see Mike Tyson punching him in the body, and I don’t see how Jake stops that,” said the actor. Suggesting ‘The Problem Child’s’ size isn’t enough to pose any threats for Mike, White said, “I don’t think there’s anything that’s going to stop [Mike].”

He further elaborated on how Tyson’s body shot could end the fight instantly. “Mike hits him in the body; the body [doesn’t] move that much; I don’t see how Jake survives a body attack personally,” said White. When the host informed White that Tyson and Paul weighed 220 and 200 pounds, respectively, White said, “Are you kidding me? He’s only 200! Oh gee, it’s worse than I thought!”

Moreover, the 56-year-old actor doesn’t feel Tyson’s age is going to be an issue, which became clear when he spoke about Tyson’s 2020 fight against Roy Jones Jr. “Roy Jones [has] skills that Jake will never have, even at that age. Jake’s got a punch but Jake has fought really tiny guys in comparison to him… I don’t see Jake doing much against Mike,” said White. Meanwhile, Jake Paul is still claiming he will get his hand raised.

Jake Paul opens up about “the toughest test” of his life

Speaking to Jesse Watters Primetime from Fox News on April 10, Paul said, “I think he’s underestimating me. I truly, truly think that.” Revealing the fight will be a heavyweight bout, Paul said, “He’s the bigger man, but I’m the faster man. He’s the much stronger man, but I’m fresh.”

What’s more, Paul emphasized that many people are being swayed by Tyson’s training videos, convinced that Tyson could beat him. However, “I believe I have what it takes to beat him. I know this is the toughest test of my life… But, at the end of the day, I’m [going to] be the one who gets my hand raised,” said ‘The Problem Child.’
