The boxing realm has to wait a lot for the highly anticipated fight between arch-rivals Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. This duo has been holding grudges against each other for a long time, going back and forth on social media but could not make this fight happen. But now finally they are going to settle their business in the ring on April 22 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As per the contract, the 12-round fight will be fought at catchweight of 136 lbs for Davis’ WBA lightweight title.
Prior to this, there was a time when Garcia was asking Davis for the shot but the latter was not paying heed to his words. Then, Mike Tyson, the former two-time heavyweight champion played a very important role. He brought them together on the call and initiated the talks of their fight.
In 2020, when ‘KingRy’ joined Tyson’s podcast fresh off knocking out Luke Campbell in the seventh round, Tyson talked about the feud between Garcia and Davis.

While doing so Garcia expressed that he was eager to fight Davis and as a result Tyson called Tank and let them talk face-to-face for the first time to make this fight happen.
Recently, the clip of that video call surfaced on Twitter. A page named BoxingKingdom shared it and wrote, “Ryan Garcia & Gervonta’s first video call with Mike Tyson & Jeremy Piven that started the feud!”
