Money. That’s what many fans believe the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul showdown ultimately came down to. Sure, Tyson pocketed a hefty $20 million for stepping into the ring last November, but the aftermath wasn’t as glamorous. The boxing icon later admitted he felt “kind of depressed” following the fight. No, it’s not because of the result, but because he missed the rush that came with prepping for a big bout. For loyal Tyson supporters, the whole event felt bittersweet. Watching their hero lose to an opponent they didn’t exactly revere hit a little too close to home.
Even with a star-studded crowd, Charlize Theron, Joe Jonas, and Hasan Minhaj among them, over 80,000 fans at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington began clearing out before the final bell. Meanwhile, millions watching from home were quick to call foul. Whispers of the match being “rigged” flooded social media. Among them Terence Crawford too added his voice to the chorus. “I love Mike Tyson, but they giving him too much credit.” Crawford posted on X. “He looked like trash, to train that long and only throw 97 punches the whole fight is crazy. I’m just glad he didn’t get hurt out there.” Ultimately, his blunt take echoed the feelings of many.
You see, it’s been half a year already since Mike Tyson’s highly publicized clash with Jake Paul, but the aftershocks are still rippling through the fight world. The controversial outcome remains a hot topic, and it resurfaced again just yesterday. Ahead of Jey Uso‘s title defense against Logan Paul on Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE took to X with a nostalgic post. “40 years later and Jesse Ventura & #SNME are still a winning combination! Tonight is going to be INSANE! 🔥🔥🔥.” Ringside, legendary commentator Joe Tessitore turned to Ventura and teased, “I know you’re very excited as well for Jey Uso’s title defense against Logan Paul.” Ventura, never one to bite his tongue, responded sharply, “Yeah. I’m just wondering. You think Mike Tyson will take another dive?”

It was a loaded comment. One that echoed the frustrations of many fans who believed last November’s Tyson vs. Paul bout was more spectacle than sport. For someone like Ventura, who’s witnessed decades of wrestling and combat sports drama, Tyson’s loss felt like an injustice. And with Logan Paul now climbing the ranks in WWE, fans are left wondering: what if Tyson made a return on WWE turf?
It wouldn’t be the first time though. Mike Tyson famously shook up the wrestling world back in 1998 when he appeared at WrestleMania XIV as a special enforcer during the main event between Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. A return to WWE, especially one involving a revenge arc against Jake Paul, would be poetic justice for fans still fuming over last year’s result. But as thrilling as that fantasy may be, it doesn’t appear to be on the horizon. At least not for now. Why, you ask?
In a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Tyson didn’t shut the door entirely. “Everything is possible,” he said, even hinting that he might be willing to fight again, especially if someone broke one of his long-standing records. True to his word, there’s already talk of another fight brewing. And if it comes to fruition, it would add yet another wild chapter to Tyson’s never-ending legacy.

Logan Paul nearly stole the win but one move changed everything
If you caught the chaos unfold live, you already know the rollercoaster fans were strapped into. But in case you missed it, here’s the rundown. During the May 24th, 2025 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Logan Paul went head-to-head with Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Title. Logan Paul started strong, landing a blockbuster and a top-rope crossbody, followed by plenty of taunting. Jey regained momentum after a commercial break, dodging a Lionsault and countering Logan’s high-impact offense even after Logan exposed the turnbuckle in a dirty trick. The momentum shifted wildly as the two battled back and forth in classic WWE fashion. But just when it seemed Logan might steal the win, things went off the rails.

Jey took a punishing right hand after being slammed into the exposed corner but kicked out. He rebounded with a frogsplash, only for John Cena to appear out of nowhere, pulling the referee out and attacking Jey. Cody Rhodes stormed in for the save, taking out Cena. Logan tried to sneak in brass knuckles, but Jey countered with a spear and got the three-count after the ref recovered. But the drama didn’t end there.
Cody then grabbed the mic and challenged Cena and Logan to a tag team match against him and Jey at Money in the Bank. With that said, what do you think? Should Logan Paul actually step into the cage with Mike Tyson after boldly declaring, “Motherf—–, I’d kill you, Mike,” last year? Or is it finally time for Mike Tyson to close the chapter on his legendary career and step away from combat sports for good?
