They don’t call him Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather for nothing. The five-division champion has racked up a jaw-dropping $1.67 billion over a 21-year career without ever tasting defeat. And his daughter Yaya Mayweather is proud of her father’s impressive feat, which she recently acknowledged while also unintentionally throwing a little shade at Canelo Alvarez and Mike Tyson.
Besides Mayweather, there are a few names who operate on the same level as him—Canelo and Tyson happen to be two such boxers who saw comparable amounts of success. Regardless, Yaya recently hopped on Instagram to show off the top 5 fights with the most pay-per-view sales. And if you know anything about the topic, ‘Money,’ to this day, holds the record for producing such humongous successes.
According to the graphic from Ring Magazine shared by Yaya, Mayweather’s four fights are among the five top-selling PPV boxing matches of all time. ‘Money’s fight against Manny Pacquiao generated 4.6 million PPV buys and made more than $600 million in total revenue, which takes the first spot. Next up was the blockbuster against Conor McGregor, which saw a staggering 4.3 million pay-per-view buys and pulled in a jaw-dropping $600 million in total revenue.

In the third spot, Mayweather’s fight against Oscar De La Hoya raked in 2.8 million pay-per-view buys and generated $165 million total revenue. Fourth was also one of Mayweather’s fights, which was against Canelo Alvarez. This fight sold 2.2 million pay-per-view, which ended up bringing in a $150 million haul. Last on the list was the rematch between Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, selling 1.95 million PPV units and generating $180 million total revenue. With 24 million PPVs sold throughout his 21-year career, his total revenue from the fights brings his total career earnings up to a staggering $1.5 billion.

Therefore, Yaya used this figure to flaunt her father’s success in boxing, writing, “b***h my daddy that thang too.” However, did you know Canelo Alvarez may soon overtake Mayweather?

Canelo Alvarez may overtake Floyd Mayweather to become the first $1 billion boxer
Canelo Alvarez is on the brink of making boxing history, with his business manager Richard Schaefer predicting he will become the sport’s first $1 billion fighter, potentially overtaking Floyd Mayweather. Canelo has already amassed over $600 million in career earnings and recently signed a blockbuster four-fight deal worth a reported $500 million with Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh.
What’s your perspective on:
Can Canelo Alvarez dethrone Mayweather as boxing's financial king, or is it just wishful thinking?

Schaefer told The Ring, “Canelo is, without any question, the smartest businessman in boxing I have ever met… He’s going to be the first fighter to break the billion-dollar net worth.” Unlike Mayweather, who earned over $1.2 billion but is estimated to be worth around $400 million, Canelo has taken a more disciplined financial path.

With a potential $100 million payday for his upcoming clash against Terence Crawford, Canelo’s trajectory is clear. “If we talk about money, it’s never enough,” the Mexican star admitted in an interview. “But I still enjoy boxing. That’s why I’m here.”
That said, while Floyd Mayweather currently holds the crown as boxing’s most successful star—a title his daughter proudly flaunts—things might not stay that way for long, if Richard Schaefer’s prediction holds true. But what’s your take on Mayweather’s staggering $1.5 billion achievement?
