The boxing world is gearing up for the catchweight bout between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, which is scheduled to happen on 15th April. Meanwhile, fans have chosen sides between Garcia and Davis. Veteran boxers such as Mike Tyson, Canelo Alvarez, and Oscar De La Hoya also voiced their opinions on the anticipated fight and chose their favorite among the two. In a recent interview, the legendary boxers were questioned about the same. They however have different opinions about the possible winner emerging from the bout. ‘Tank’ vs ‘KingRy’: Boxers pick

Ryan Garcia is one of the top prospects in the lightweight division. But he has not been seen in the ring for a very long time now. When the interviewer asked the former six-division world champ for his pick, the answer came not as a surprise. Oscar De La Hoya picked the fighter his Golden Boy Promotions is promoting, Ryan Garcia.

He said, “Well I’m picking Ryan obviously because you know, we started with Ryan Garcia, we’ve built his career inside the ring, we you know, we got him where he had, so I believe in his talent, I believe in his skill, I believe in his arsenal, He has more tools, than ‘Tank’ Davis. He has more tools to beat ‘Tank’ Davis, inside the ring. His long Jab, his long stance, his wide stance, his punches and bunches, his speed, his power.” De La Hoya is also the promoter of Garcia and he groomed Garcia.

Meanwhile, on another occasion, Oscar De La Hoya cast his doubt about the fight coming to fruition due to some contractual issues between both parties.

However, Mike Tyson thinks Gervonta Davis has an upper hand over Garcia. When asked, Canelo Alvarez said, “Tank, He has more skills, Tank I think.”

‘Tank’ vs. Garcia has been the talk of the boxing world for a long time now. Both fighters boast a perfect undefeated record, with Garcia coming off a 23-fight win streak and ‘Tank’ a 28-fight win streak. Garcia has revealed that his absence in the ring was fueled by his depression. Notably, ‘Tank’ Davis recently defeated Hector Louis Garcia on 7th January.
