Mike Tyson Claims a Bunch of His Fight Purse From the Roy Jones Jr. Exhibition Is Still ‘Held Up’

In 2020, Mike Tyson took part in a high-voltage exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. This was a much-anticipated bout, and everyone was keen to see the two men create magic inside the ring. As expected, the event materialized in a terrific fashion, and fans rightly got to see what they wished for.

Also, Triller was at the forefront of managing this event, and they did well. However, Tyson recently spilled the beans on his purse for this fight and revealed whether he got paid the entire amount.

On the Full Send Podcast, he said, “Most of it, but there’s still a bunch that’s held up and I can’t even say anything about this. Yeah, it was really tricky”

For the Jones Jr. clash, Tyson was guaranteed $10 million. However, his purse might have surged as this fight garnered a whopping 1.6 million PPV buys.

Tyson put in tremendous hard work in order to prepare for his fight against Jones Jr. Moreover, he ended up showing a snippet of his old version in this exhibition outing. By the final rounds, Tyson and Jones Jr. both looked tired.

However, to live up to the buzz, the two men continued fighting, keeping fans at the edge of their seats.

In all, this turned out to be a highly entertaining boxing event. But, the controversies regarding Tyson and Triller surfaced over the internet last year. And with Tyson’s above comments, it seems both the parties aren’t on good terms.
