Mike Tyson Congratulates Jim Gray on His Induction to Second Hall of Fame

Mike Tyson is one of the sport’s most successful fighters. ‘Iron Mike’ enjoyed outstanding success in and out of the ring throughout his career. Despite this, he has never failed to give others credit for their work. And Tyson has now shown that side of him again.
The former heavyweight champion of the world has always shown his respect to his peers throughout his career. Now, ‘Iron Mike’ has continued to appreciate others and congratulated legendary presenter Jim Gray for getting inducted into the NBA hall of fame.

The 50-6 boxer took to his Instagram to share a picture of himself with Gray and captioned it with, “Congrats to @jimgray and induction into the basketball hall of fame and all the inductees. It was an honor sharing this moment with everyone.”
This came because the NBA honored Gray and others on Saturday. Moreover, it was no surprise that Gray received the honor given his incredible work with the biggest networks like ESPN, FOX, NBC, among others.
This is the second sport’s Hall of Fame Gray is a part of. He became part of the boxing hall of fame back in 2018.
Mike Tyson and Jim Gray: An unlikely friendship
It is not a surprise that a boxer and presenter share a close relationship. However, when you consider the distinct personalities of both Tyson and Gray, it is a surprise that the two are so close. However, this is not the first show of their friendship.
Gray previously showed his respect to Tyson and praised him for being transparent during his career. Gray was the one who interviewed ‘Iron Mike’ after his infamous bout with Evander Holyfield, and the presenter recalled that Tyson was honest and did not shy away from having his say.

Moreover, Gray also partially defended ‘Iron Mike’ from the criticism he receives regarding the infamous ear bite and pointed out that Holyfield had also bitten someone’s ear before. Therefore, it is no secret that they shared a close friendship.
