Atlas spoke on an episode of ‘THE FIGHT With Teddy Atlas’ on YouTube and gave his opinion on how a full camp for Masvidal will influence the fight. “I’ll start right there. It will make a difference. It will make a difference, It’ll be more competitive.”

This comment from the trainer showed his opinion regarding the first fight. He then added, “I’ll put my reputation on the line, even though again, I’m not a UFC guy. But whatever it is, my reputation in the fight world, I’ll put it on the line. It’s going to be more competitive. As a matter of fact, I’ll go even further, I think it could be an upset.”

Is Teddy Atlas right about the Jorge Masvidal vs. Kamaru Usman rematch?

These comments from the boxing trainer showed how confident he is in this fight being better than the first meeting between the two. Moreover, he also claimed ‘Gamebred’ would beat the champion. So is Atlas right with his claims?

The fight will surely be more entertaining this time around. In the first fight, ‘Gamebred’ had to cut 20 lbs in less than a week to make weight, and it showed in the fight. Also, it was too little time for either fighter to draw up an effective game-plan.

Therefore, Atlas is right in saying that fans will get to witness a better fight this time around. However, not everyone will agree with him picking the ‘BMF’ over ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’.
