Jake Paul and Logan Paul are the talk of boxing right now. Though traditional boxing fans have ridiculed their involvement in the sport, some have pointed out that the two bring more attention to boxing. And legendary boxer Mike Tyson has explained why the two face so much criticism.

Tyson has previously shown his support for both Jake Paul and Logan Paul. He claimed that they two bring more eyes to boxing and thus, are a beneficial influence on the sport. He has now addressed the hate that they get from boxers and fans.

The 50-6 boxer, who spoke to Mario Lopez on an episode of ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’, addressed the involvement of the Paul brothers in boxing. “These guys make boxing so awesome. Because, you know, boxers get angry, because boxers… the real champions don’t even have that many views. They’d be happy if they had a million views. These guys get 80 million views.”

Therefore, this comment from Tyson explained why fellow fighters dislike the Paul brothers. As the two internet sensations have used their social media fame to significant effect, they can attract the biggest names despite just starting out as boxers. Whereas other boxers starting their careers cannot get anywhere close to that.

Mike Tyson says other fighters want to kill Jake Paul
The former heavyweight champion made no secret of his admiration for the Paul brothers’ ability to attract attention. Moreover, he claimed that this was the primary reason they attract hate from their peers. Tyson opined this goes to such an extent that fellow boxers want to kill Jake Paul.

‘Iron Mike’ said, “That’s why everybody wants to kill him. They see this white guy, blonde hair, blue eyes, making all this f***ing money, talking all this sh*t, everybody wants to kill him.”

While the extent of his comment is debatable, Tyson could be right in pointing out that other boxers dislike Jake Paul because of his fame. The internet sensation has capitalized on his fame outside the ring. Hence, he now earns more money than some of boxing’s champions.
