Tommy Davidson details his journey to becoming a comedian

In the episode, Davidson details how he had a friend named Howard who was also struggling at the time. However, Davidson revealed that he got a job at the Ramada Inn but was slammed by his friend for not pursuing comedy. Later, Howard convinced Davidson to take a job at a strip club in Washington DC. The club was called the Penthouse, which he described as the worst in the city.

He then recounted his conversation with Howard before his first performance, saying, “The manager comes out, you know all right you got five minutes man. Howard told me, f**k I don’t care what you do just say something on that mic.” Davidson was nervous but made the audience laugh with his first joke. He said, “From the first thing I said everybody laughed, well and I’m sitting here now, that’s how it happened.” This experience led Davidson to pursue a career in comedy and eventually become quite successful in his profession. Moreover, this even prompted Tyson to give the perfect reply to Davidson’s story.
