Mike Tyson Goes off on Therapists: ‘They’re Liars. They’re Charlatans’

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson is not one to shy away from providing his opinion on anything and everything. Now, ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ has shifted his attention from trash-talking his rivals to lashing out at therapists. The boxer even labeled them liars and charlatans.

The iconic boxer had his fair share of issues throughout his career. He has previously admitted that he had been to rehab 20 times and credited it for saving his life.

However, in a surprising turn of events, he has backtracked of sorts. Speaking on BELOW THE BELT with Brendan Schaub regarding talking to therapists, Tyson said, “Why would I talk to them?”

The 54-year-old added, “I don’t believe they’re smarter than me.”

‘Iron Mike’ didn’t stop there. He followed it up with, “Those are just hustlers. They’re like snake oil sellers… They’re liars… They’re charlatans”

What does Mike Tyson really mean with these comments?

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ has often spoken about his mental struggles and advocated for mental health. Hence his comments could surprise many. However, what could he mean with these comments?

He cleared up any possible confusion and clarified, “Nothing’s from within. Everyone needs help from everybody. That’s how this world works…In order to accept help you have to be able humble.”

Thus, these comments may have shown that Tyson believes they play an important role in dealing with different issues.

Considering the fact that the former champion had his fair share of battles over the years, these comments surely hold some value. ‘Iron Mike’ is an ardent advocate for giving back to people in need. Thus, maybe he feels their services should be more accessible.
