Recently, in the Hotboxin podcast ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Mike Tyson, Henry Cejudo, and Canelo Alvarez gave their opinions on this much-awaited contest.

Firstly, Tyson wasn’t aware of the opponent Paul is facing, so he confirmed the same from ‘Triple C’. Cejudo said, “Ben Askren, he’s a 2-time NCAA champion. He was actually my Olympic teammate in 2008.

“He’s a UFC fighter, but it didn’t go so well for him. But he’s also a troll. A guy likes to go on the internet and talk stuff. So is Jake Paul,”

Tyson then adds, “What’s so interesting about boxing like you get MMA guys got better hands, you can grab them. You throw faster, you’re harder, you’re like f**k he’s smart, hard to hit.”

‘Iron’ Mike felt that it’s easier for pro-boxers to take on MMA fighters as they have a better knack for reading the game. Moreover, many times MMA fighters dwell on their ground game and this doesn’t help them at all in the boxing vertical.

Will Jake Paul overpower Ben Askren?

Jake Paul only has 2 fights/wins to his name. Yet his heavy cruiserweight frame and power are absolutely worth the watch. However, the ‘Problem Child’ has only fought non-fighters until now and this will be the first time he’ll take someone on from the combat sports world.
