Boxing Legend Mike Tyson has seemingly gained more interest in tennis, all thanks to his daughter Milan Tyson, who loves the sport and is very vested in it. She is just 12 years, but she is incredibly disciplined and aims to become a professional tennis player someday.

Tyson reveals how his daughter’s love of tennis changed his life

Tyson appeared in an interview with Serena Williams’ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, and was asked whether he enjoyed being a ‘tennis dad’ or not.

So one of your children Milan is playing, and she’s a good tennis player and she’s talented and she’s very motivated to become a professional. So how much do you enjoy being a tennis dad?” Mouratoglou asks Tyson, to which the champ responds by saying.” It broadened my horizon and I’m just so grateful I had an opportunity to be involved with guys. Like you meet everybody and it changed our lives, you know. Our whole life had changed over tennis and that’s just hard to believe.

Tyson then goes on to add that nothing is more important to him than his daughter playing tennis and that she is ‘everything’ in his life. ” Everything we’re doing making money and everything is not bigger than my daughter playing tennis. She’s bigger than everything in our life now.

Lastly, he says that tennis made his daughter into a different person and also helped her gain confidence. “I see her transcending into something that she never would have before she ever got involved with tennis. She has the confidence at 10,11,12 years old. She has a great deal of confidence in herself”

Mike Tyson teaches Serena Williams how to box

The boxing legend’s interest in the sport has been reciprocated by tennis superstar Serena Williams as she is seemingly taking boxing lessons from Tyson. Iron Mike shared a video of her punching a boxing bag with the caption. “Wouldn’t want to get in the ring with this GOAT @serenawilliams”

The idea for this video seemingly came up when the pair met at Mouratoglou’s annual camp back in 2019, where athletes across various sports often meet up.
