What is next for Mike Tyson?

After meeting Roy Jones Jr in the ring in 2020, Tyson immediately showed interest in fighting again. Since then, talks of him possibly facing Shannon Briggs or Roy Jones Jr for a rematch or even 26-year-old Youtuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul have flooded the boxing community. However, boxing purists have always rooted for Tyson to face one opponent in particular- Lennox Lewis.

The Englishman defeated the boxing legend one year before he announced his interim retirement in 2003. Ever since then, fans of the sport have wanted to see Tyson run it back with Lewis.

In 2019, the 56-year-old Englishman appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and teased a possibility of a rematch between the two. He said that he would welcome that fight for the right price.

Even Mike Tyson has hinted at booking this fight for September. Since then, talks of this matchup have died down.  However, the tides seem to be turning once again as Lennox Lewis recently shared on a podcast that he wants to fight ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ once again.

While the two shared bad blood back in the day, Lewis recently shared a clip of their 2002 fight and said that he has a lot of respect for his former opponent.

“As contentious as Mike and I were during our fighting days, I have nothing but love for him these days and I’m proud of how he was able to turn his life around,” said Lennox Lewis on Instagram.

While Lewis has shared no recent update on his training, Mike Tyson has been sharing constant videos and snaps of his training sessions on social media. Do you want to see the two legends of the sport run it back this year?
