Speaking on the BELOW THE BELT with Brendan Schaub, Tyson addressed the situation at the summit of the heavyweight division. He then said, “If they [Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua] don’t fight, I think Joshua should fight Wilder… in between.”

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ then gave a hint that he would fancy Wilder in that fight. “I think Wilder’s gonna do pretty good at that,” said Tyson. He explained how Joshua is not as slick and loose as Fury and said also said Fury is a, “fu**ing monster, ten-foot, and awkward.”

Why does Mike Tyson want the Deontay Wilder-Anthony Joshua fight?

Tyson is an old-fashioned fighter who wanted to fight anybody and everybody. In his time there was no place for ‘ducking’ fighters, especially when he was at the top of the heavyweight ladder. However, that has not been the case with ‘AJ’ and ‘The Bronze Bomber’.

The two have been rumored to fight each other multiple times in the past. This was back when Wilder was the WBC champion. Thus, it would have been a massive unification fight. However, they never ended up getting in the ring.

Wilder would be more suited to facing a fighter like Joshua, while ‘AJ’ could prove a point by showcasing his chin. Thus, if it happens, it could be a great fight.

However, with the talks for the Fury-Joshua bout getting ever so close, we can not see it falling through. Although, in boxing, nothing can be taken for granted unless a contract is signed. Who do you think Anthony Joshua should fight if the Tyson Fury fight falls through?
