Recently, Broner’s former opponent, Mikey Garcia was involved in Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin’ podcast alongside Henry Cejudo. Here, Garcia was asked about the most memorable fight of his boxing career. Without giving a single thought, the former welterweight champ asserted that the Adrien Broner fight was his biggest fight.

Cejudo then interrupted and said, “Nobody liked Broner”. Sponsoring his thoughts, ‘Iron’ Mike said, “Nobody liked him, that’s why.”

Tyson then added, “Why do you do that? Why don’t he act like that? Why does he act like them?”

Garcia and Broner fought back in 2017 for the WBC diamond super-lightweight title. The fight went the distance and both the pugilists gave their absolute best in this contest. Yet, it was Garcia who beat ‘The Problem’ with a unanimous decision.

That said, the 33-year-old ranks this fight as his best because fans continue to congratulate him for his exemplary performance. And citing that, Cejudo and Tyson shared banter, stating that the reason fans ended up rooting for Garcia in this fight was that they don’t like Broner.

Can Adrien Broner put his boxing stint back on track?

In his last fight, the Ohio native fought Jovanie Santiago and claimed a gratifying win. This was his first fight after a loss to Manny Pacquiao in 2019.

Despite a win, Broner didn’t look like his old self and showed some ring rust. However, ‘The Problem’ still has the right intent to revive his boxing career. With that, it’ll be vital to see who he takes on next.
