Mike Tyson on His Son Wanting to Fight Logan Paul: “You Don’t Want None of That Heat Man”

On the latest Hotboxin’ podcast episode, Mike Tyson and Henry Cejudo spoke to two-time super middleweight champion David Benavidez. They talked about a potential matchup with Canelo Alvarez, the 24-year-old’s thoughts on fights like Woodley vs Paul and Plant vs Alvarez, the business aspect of boxing, and dirty managers in the sport.
At one point, Henry Cejudo asked Mike Tyson if his kids had ever shown any interest in boxing. The youngest heavyweight champ revealed that his son, Amir Tyson, wants to enter the boxing world. He added that his son wants to fight the likes of Logan Paul in the boxing ring. However, Tyson does not want him to compete inside the ring. ‘Iron’ Mike implied that boxing is not an easy sport and for most, the pressure of losing in front of packed out stadiums is a bit much to handle.

“I have my kid, the older one, he’s 24 [Amir Tyson], he wants to do this so bad. Just chill the f**k out. He wants to fight Logan Paul and those guys.”
“Oh, he wants to do that. Just get a job, get a real estate license. Just chill out, man. Why can’t you take advantage of your lively wealthiness?”
“Just chill. You don’t want none of that heat man, I’m telling you. This drives people to commit suicide, getting humiliated in front of millions of people. You gotta be able to take that pressure. Not many people can do it, man,” said Mike Tyson.
