Mike Tyson Reveals Why He Stopped Sleeping With His Tiger

Boxing lovers are well acquainted with Mike Tyson and his love for animals. ‘Iron’ Mike’s anecdotes with his tiger are well known in the fight universe. Back in his prime in the 1990s, Tyson bought a pair of tiger cubs. One of them stayed with him for a staggering 16 years and her name was Kenya.

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ was extremely attached to his big cat. He spent a considerable amount of time with her whenever he was at home. On top of that, Tyson even used to sleep with Kenya, but later he stopped doing the same.

Recently, on his Hotboxin podcast, ‘Iron’ Mike opened up why he stopped sleeping with his tiger. He said, “Oh, I sleep with them. I was grown. I was always sleeping with my cat. But they start f*rting. Oh, man, you can imagine that s**t. Oh man, you had to crack the winters, whole s**t.”

Mike Tyson was the biggest name in the retro boxing era. With his highlight-reel knockouts and an intimidating in-ring persona, Tyson turned into a fan favorite in no time and earned a lot of money. Also, he had an unusual knack for spending his earnings on the most exorbitant stuff in the world.

That said, he invested millions of dollars in property, cars, tigers, and more. However, all of this just enhanced his legacy and made him unique.

One of Tyson’s neighbors jumped onto his property to play with his big cat. But things didn’t go well here, as Kenya viciously attacked this lady, causing her some serious injuries.

Consequently, Tyson had to pay her a handsome amount of $250,000 for her injuries. He said, “Listen, when I saw what the tiger did to her … I had a lot of money back then so I gave her $250,000, whatever it was, because she was just f***ed up.”

Tyson has a string of sublime memories with his tiger. However, those of him sleeping with her and the unfortunate incident where Kenya met his neighbor would fall among the ones he may not like to remember.
