Mike Tyson Reveals Why He Would Have Never Lost Early in His Career

The former Heavyweight World Champ, Mike Tyson, was an icon in the 80s and early 90s. After Muhammad Ali retired from the sport, no one ever wondered that such a charismatic figure will ever return in the ring.

But a couple of years later, the US produced a sensational phenomenon that reigned the throne of heavyweight division at the age of just 20. The youngest ever to clinch the world heavyweight title set the blueprint of an ideal boxer everyone wants to see in the early days of his career.

However, recently, the most spectacular stalwart of his generation, ‘Iron’ Mike joined sports analyst Shannon Sharpe. While reflecting on his opinion on different aspects of his life from past to present, ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ revealed why he remained undefeated early in his career.

The 55-year-old stalwart said in a savage tone, “It was no way I was gonna ever lose early in my career. I was just I was like I was all defined by God. It wasn’t going to happen.”

Notably, ‘Kid Dynamite’s early career was beyond appreciation.

Mike Tyson: Early undefeated boxing career

Trained under the guidance of renowned promoter and coach Cus D’Amato, ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ had mastered the art to such an extent that it was soothing to the eyes of spectators and horrifying for his opponent.

Starting at the early age of 18, ‘Kid Dynamite’ fought 15 fights in his first year of professional boxing and 13 his second. En route to becoming the youngest champion, he knocked out every opponent he faced in the first 19 fights of his career. However, most of these came by first-round knockout which was unbelievable.

Later, in 1990, after cementing a great legacy of 37-0, ‘Iron’ Mike faced the first loss of his career. The boxing critics believe that till then ‘The Baddest Man on Planet’ was in the middle of his career and was driven by distractions.
