As Jake Paul is gearing up to lock horns with Mike Perry on July 20th at Amalie Arena, Tampa, Florida, for an eight round cruiserweight bout, he has shared some positive updates on his future opponent’s health. Former undisputed world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was originally supposed to face Paul this weekend!
But, you know what, that fight got postponed to November 15th because of Tyson’s ulcer flare up during a cross-country flight last May. This forced ‘El Gallo’ to bring in the former UFC fighter and BKFC champion Mike Perry as a last-minute replacement. But hold up! Mike Tyson is worried Paul may lose the fight, as revealed by the former Disney star in an interview today.

Paul, eager to eventually face ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, quickly responded, stating, “Yeah, no, he’s doing good. He’s back to training”. That’s not all! Paul further added that Tyson is worried about his upcoming fight by revealing Tyson’s thoughts about his fight. “He’s like, ‘What is Jake thinking? This guy, Mike Perry, is a killer'”, said Paul.
While Tyson might be worried about the big money fight later this year if Paul loses, Paul himself seemed extremely confident as he sent a message for the former world champion. “Don’t worry! I’m going to put this guy to sleep. This is a Mike appetizer and then you’re next”, said Paul. However, Mike Perry seems to have bolder ambitions going into the fight!

Perry said, “I was gonna say you know, this Netflix deal with Mike Tyson—I mean, I feel like I knock Jake out and they’ll be like, ‘Hey, do you wanna fight Mike instead?’” The BKFC champion is even ready to endure scary blows from Tyson to secure the lucrative deal from himself. “I’ll go in there and let him punch on me a little bit, man. It might be painful but, you know, I’ll try to give him a good old body shot”, he added.
Well, the good news is Mike Tyson is doing better and back in the gym for his fight against Jake Paul later this year.
