Mike Tyson Says Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury Reached “All Time Great Status” After Their Trilogy

Boxing purists, legends, and fans are still not over the iconic slugfest between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, which took place last weekend. The pair entered the ring after a long 18-month hiatus and waged a war against each other. Every second of this fight entertained millions of enthusiasts.
Fury, the favorite in this fight, emerged as the ultimate winner. But this time, a win didn’t come to him so easily. This is because a polished Deontay Wilder did everything possible to make this fight supremely tough for the Brit.
However, he fell short in the end, but the respect he gained was paramount. Recently, Mike Tyson took it to Twitter to share his true notions about Wilder and Fury.

“Fury vs Wilder fight will go down as one of greatest. Not for skill but for action and excitement. That fight was all guts, heart & determination. Everybody won Saturday night. The fight was bigger than the hype. Both of them reached all time great status…” he wrote.

Ahead of the fight, Mike Tyson rooted for ‘The Gypsy King’. But with the performance Wilder put, everyone, including Tyson, couldn’t stop themselves from praising the ex-champ.
Wilder worked extremely hard on his punching variations, defense, and more for this trilogy. All of it was certainly visible on fight night. He even managed to stun Fury with two knockdowns, but eventually, it was ‘The Gypsy King’s night.

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder’s rivalry began around 2018 when they met each other in the ring for the first time. Their first meet ended with a draw, resulting in an undeniable rematch which ‘The Gypsy King’ won in round 7.
Subsequently, as Wilder’s hunger to seek his revenge was at its peak, he did everything possible to secure the rematch. He showed tremendous improvements on October 9 and forced Fury to raise his game.
