There are a few names that evoke a sense of fear and respect in equal amounts. The name of former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson happens to be one of them. Moreover, most people are pushed to their last slivers of courage at the very thought of facing a prime ‘Iron’ Mike unarmed. But ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ recently revealed that fight commentator Teddy Atlas once put a gun to his head.

Tyson was hosting his ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson‘ podcast with Sebastian Joseph Day as his co-host. Meanwhile, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was present as the guest for the episode. The trio was watching a UFC fight when Portnoy asked Tyson if he likes watching the UFC. When Tyson answered in the affirmative, Portnoy mentioned that a few boxing purists are not too fond of the UFC.

Additionally, he also informed Tyson about Teddy Atlas’ podcast. He further tried to clarify ‘rumors’ with Tyson. Portnoy asked, “That story with you and him true? He says he put a gun to your head.”

In response, Tyson said, “Yes, I’m 13. He played like he’s really a big strong man.”

He also added that Atlas was 27 or 28 at that time, and was a former trainer of his. Tyson also mentioned, “Yeah, he didn’t know that at 13 I’d f*cking smash him.”

However, it is worth pondering whether Atlas would have dared to do the same to a prime Tyson.

Mike Tyson confronts Donald Trump

One can safely assume that there are very few things that scare ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. Hence, it’s no surprise that he once threatened the former President of the United States, Donald Trump.

The incident is mentioned in Trump’s autobiography, TrumpNation. Tyson once confronted Trump after hearing rumors about his alleged affair with his wife, Robin Givens. While the situation did not escalate further, the eccentric billionaire was left shaken after the near-death experience.
