At 54, Mike Tyson, who remains one of boxing’s most lethal punchers, is looking for a way back to the ring by stepping in against former champion Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition battle on November 28.

Thirty-four years ago,  Tyson became the youngest man to grab the heavyweight title when he floored Trevor Berbick at the age of 20. Since then, it has been a fairy tale ride for him. He has gone on to become one of the greatest boxers of all time. However, ‘Iron’ Mike’s career has also seen several adversaries. Having suffered some major upsets inside the ring, Tyson hung his gloves in 2005 after losing against Kevin McBride.

While he is returning to action after fifteen years, Tyson says that he has gone through different phases. Before getting back to the heavyweight physique, Mike Tyson was a victim of obesity. That said, he claimed that his ego played a major role in his transformation.

The former heavyweight champion says that he has experienced two distinct personalities during the entire process. Prior to his fight against Roy Jones Jr, he has shared some interesting details in a docu-series that showcased the ongoing training camps of Tyson and Jones.

Talking about his return to action, Tyson said, “My ego is fu***** with me and I am saying ni*** you sly. You ain’t sh**. Look, an amateur can get in here and kick your a **. You better get on the top of your game. You want to get embarrassed in front of all these f***** people?”

However, there’s another side to it too. Mike Tyson believes that he is still one of the best and his confidence is unparalleled at this point Referring to it, he said, “Then the other ego says f*** you ni***, watch what I am gonna do. Oh no, you don’t know what’s goes on up here (laughs)”

The high-voltage clash will take place in the Staples Center, with several alluring matchups on the undercard. YouTube sensation Jake Paul will also fight on the same event where he will welcome NBA star Nate Robinson to the combat sports world.
