Mike Tyson is the most vocal fighter in the combat sports universe. He is renowned for putting up blunt opinions on fighters and the sport. Despite being 54 and having retired almost 15 years ago, he still dominates boxing news. Tyson recently fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout, and that fight recorded sky-high PPV buys.

Tyson asserted that YouTube fights play a pivotal role in the sport of boxing, as many celebrities and former sports stars entering the boxing ring contribute immensely towards the sport. They bring in fans from their fields too, and this helps add to boxing in general.

“People’s horizons (increased) and they understand boxing more as a skillful art more so than some kind of brutality.”

Will Mike Tyson compete in more exhibition fights?

Even at his current age, ‘Iron’ showed a snippet of his old self in his fight against Roy Jones Jr. Though the fight ended with a draw on the judges’ scorecard, many boxing fans felt Tyson was the clear winner. Post that fight Tyson has hinted at putting on the boxing gloves again in 2021.

Tyson wants to continue fighting for the good cause and the well-being of the individuals.

Right after his contest with Jones, Tyson asserted on booking a rematch with the latter. However, it’s still not clear whether he’ll fight Jones again or take on any other opponent.

No matter who the opponent is, Tyson stepping into the ring again will be a delight to watch for his fans. Given his comments on celebrity boxers, he could opt for a fight against one of them.
