Mike Tyson Teases a Bout in Dubai – Says Evander Holyfield Likely to be the Next Fight

Following a successful return against Roy Jones Jr. that turned out to be a draw, Mike Tyson has teased his upcoming plans, including a fight against former foe Evander Holyfield. The heavyweight stalwart claims to have received a bunch of offers, and is currently planning to set up his next event.

In addition to fighting, Tyson wants to promote the event too and has hinted at a location as well as an opponent. In an interaction with Brendan SchaubMike Tyson has reflected on all his plans.

“We are getting ready to go to Dubai now. We are getting ready to have a show there and I am confident, I think I wanna participate in that show, still a promoter. I want to promote and probably participate and fight someone,” said Mike Tyson.

Speaking on his possible opponents, ‘Iron’ Mike added,  “Anyone, I think that (fight against Holyfield) might happen soon. I think that’s one. There’s going to be guys before Evander. But Evander is some that we are gonna look at.”

Tyson and Holyfield can materialize one of the most iconic exhibition clashes of all time by locking horns against each other. During their prime, they have had a bad-blood rivalry that saw them clash on two different occasions.

Although Holyfield has won both the fights, the vile build-up and the intense feud has marked it as one of the most heated rivalries in boxing history. So, a trilogy clash in their dotage, especially when Tyson and Holyfield are on good terms, can end the rivalry on a pleasant note.

Evander ‘The Real Deal’ Holyfield has constantly demanded the fight and seems interested in facing Tyson for the third time. However, Tyson is yet to confirm the bout.

If the two finally settle the event, it can potentially produce a blockbuster event that would eclipse a plethora of current boxing fights.
