Mikey Garcia praised Caleb Plant for not backing down against Canelo and showing that he’s not there just to collect a check.

Garcia was in two minds. He said, “I still feel Canelo wins, just because he’s been unstoppable in his last fights. That strength and power and size that Canelo has, it’s hard to stop. But Caleb does have the skills to upset.”

Oscar De La Hoya, who confirmed he will be in attendance for the fight, took to social media to provide fans with his prediction. He said, “Canelo is going to have some trouble in the first few rounds against Plant. Plant has a little boxing technique that he’s going to move around and go side to side.”

“But Canelo has the skill, has power, and he’ll walk him down eventually and probably stop him in the ninth, tenth, or eleventh round. That’s my prediction.”

Mike Tyson also picked Canelo Alvarez against Caleb Plant. ‘Iron’ Mike did not sugarcoat how he felt. On Hotboxin’, Mike Tyson said, “Caleb Plant is gonna get slaughtered. He’s gonna f*ck him up.” Hence, it is safe to say that ‘Iron’ Mike backs Canelo in the fight.

Canelo Alvarez made his own prediction for the fight

The unified 168-pound champion, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, made his prediction for his fight against Caleb Plant. The Mexican vowed to end Plant’s reign as the IBF titleholder in brutal fashion, with a vicious KO before the eighth round. Canelo has admitted that he has never had so much bad blood with an opponent before.

It all started off after their heated altercation at their first press conference. The unified champion said, “It’s very different from normal and it’s definitely the most animosity I’ve had with an opponent heading into a big fight. I’m sticking with my prediction of a knockout before round eight.”
