Mike Tyson Trashes Jealous Boxers for Criticizing Jake and Logan Paul

YouTube sensations Logan and Jake Paul have now come under the eye of heavyweight boxing legends Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. The pair was praised by these legends who feel that the two have contributed a lot to the sport. Jake recently faced Anderson Silva beating him via UD, while Logan is making waves in the WWE even challenging for the title in his third fight.
The amount of success that the brothers have reached in such a short time has caused many boxers to call them out. However, Iron Mike feels that this is only due to the jealousy among professional boxers, as they cannot become more popular than the two despite being far better fighters.” Those guys are helping boxing so much. Professional boxers, they are so jealous.” he said in an interview with FoxNews

Moreover, he claimed that the Paul brothers have made millions of dollars from their fight, despite never even competing at the amateur level, unlike other professional boxers. “They (professional boxers) never made a million bucks yet. These guys made millions and millions of dollars. These guys never had an amateur fight, (other boxers) had hundreds of amateur fights.” he added.
Evander Holyfield also adds to Mike Tyson praising the Paul brothers
This was not all, as one of Tyson’s rival turned business partners, Evander Holyfield, also claimed that the brothers helped with the financial aspect of the sport. However, he claimed that neither brother actually knows how to box.

” I felt that it helped boxing because it shows everybody these guys who really don’t know how to box. But they’re just swinging, they’re making all that money. These guys are not even professional. They just in there doing their thing.” said Holyfield.
The two legends seem to appreciate what the new-age influencers have done for the sport which many felt was dying. However, as boxing becomes more of a spectacle, it could hamper the quality of fights that are put on. This is certainly the case with many of the influencer boxing cards, where the quality of fights is not on par with professional boxing.
