Like most people, Mike Tyson has backed Canelo Alvarez to beat Caleb Plant lopsidedly in their in-ring affair o November 6. However, ‘Iron’ is also ready to witness a reverse scenario, in which Plant can get his hands raised. Tyson has no ill-feeling towards the fellow American Plant and has backed Alvarez only for his magnificent resume.

That said, Tyson has said that he will apologize to Caleb Plant, depending on the outcome of the fight. IBF champion Caleb Plant will face WBC-WBO-WBA titlist, Canelo Alvarez, in the first-ever undisputed super middleweight title bout, which will cement one of their names in history.

Standing a few days away from the fight, Tyson told ES News, “I have been talking a lot of s*** about this guy Plant. So, if he beat Canelo, I will put him on my show and say I am sorry you are the greatest fighter that has ever lived.”

Mike Tyson’s coach Rafael Cordeiro, who prepared ‘Iron’ for his returning bout against Roy Jones Jr. also hailed Caleb Plant. But stuck with backing the P4P king Alvarez for the fight.

Cordeiro said, “Tough fight but Canelo is Canelo”

Following Alvarez’s win against Billy Joe Saunders, it’s hard to picture the Mexican star losing to ‘Sweethands’. However, boxing is an unpredictable sport and it clearly gives an edge to Caleb Plant, who seems ready to shock the world. Still undefeated, Plant is undoubtedly an A-lister of the modern age. He can further nourish his legacy by adding Canelo Alvarez to the list of his in-ring victims.

Mike Tyson and Canelo Alvarez have already interacted on the HotBoxin podcast. Caleb Plant can also garner some valuable views if he appears in the show. But for that, he shall have to overpower the P4P king, which will be an extremely demanding task. Alvarez has more experience than Plant and has faced stiffer opposition than him.

Besides, the Mexican sensation has been pretty active in the past few months. All these factors will favor him to win the scrap. But Plant can chime in with some unique tools and land a shocking upset to grab hold of all the super middleweight world titles.
